No matter what business you’re in, there is one universal tactic to achieve long-term success: Consistently create value for your customers.
Ask yourself this simple question:
What value do you bring to your customers lives?
Not what products and services do you sell. Not what features you want to highlight. Not what makes you better than your competitors. How do you create value that your customers would not be able to get had your company not been there? That’s your value proposition.
Now what do you do after you figured that out?
Provide things that will genuinely make their lives better, whether for a short moment or for decades. Look for as many ways to deliver on that promise that you can do with your resources. Strive to build more value in your offerings.
Give people a reason to care about what you do and they’ll reward you with their loyalty.
