Craig Matsumoto Creative Director Craig directly executes or oversees all creative projects. Prior to launching Matsumoto & Clapperton, Craig spent seven years at ADWorks. During that time, he reshaped one of the market’s most lackluster creative departments into one of its most highly regarded. A graduate of the prestigious Art Center College of Design, Craig has also spent over 20 years with some of the “hottest” agencies in California including Della Femina & Partners, Dailey & Associates, DMB&B and Abert Newhoff & Burr. Craig’s past experience includes national and international work on Ralph Lauren Polo, Revo Sunglasses, PSA Airlines, DHL Worldwide Express, Isuzu Motor Company, Honda Scooters, Carl’s Jr. Restaurants, TransAmerica Insurance, Universal Studio Tours and Sheraton Hotels. His Hawaii experience includes work on AT&T Wireless (formerly Honolulu Cellular), Budget Rent A Car, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Kahala Mall, Windward Mall and the Hawaii Newspaper Agency. Ed Clapperton President Ed’s mainland and international experience includes two years with the Mallory Factor agency in New York City and seven years with Cove-Ito Advertising in Tokyo, Japan, where he became bilingual in Japanese. His other roles in Hawaii include vice president, account supervisor at Peck Sims Mueller Advertising and director of interactive marketing for KHON FOX 2 TV. Over his 20 years of experience, Ed has worked with clients including BMW, McDonalds Restaurants, ITT Sheraton Hotels of Hawaii, the St. Maarten Visitors Bureau, the Australian Meat & Livestock Corporation, HawaiianMiles MasterCard, Canon cameras, G.E. Capital Hawaii, and Title Guaranty Escrow Services.
